Do you sell fabric or sewing machines?
No. Novella Mansion sells tools and notions only — pins, needles and clips, marking and measuring aids, and thread and bobbin accessories. No cloth by the metre, no machines, no cut-to-order trims, and no machine repairs. It keeps the range tight and the advice specific.
What does shipping cost and how long does it take?
Free from ₹2,499; below that a flat ₹69 on the whole order. We pack in 1 business day and dispatch from Jaipur through Delhivery / DTDC — 2–4 business days to metro PIN codes, 4–7 business days elsewhere, or 3–8 business days from order to door.
How can I pay?
UPI or Cash on Delivery, nothing else — no credit or debit cards, no net banking, no PayPal, and no payment credential is ever stored. Prices are in Indian Rupees with applicable tax included.
Will these bobbins fit my machine?
Check the class, not the brand. A Class 15 bobbin fits most drop-in front-loading domestic machines; Class 66 and L-style are different sizes and will jam if forced. The product page states the class and the outside diameter. If you are unsure, measure the bobbin you already have and email us the figure — that is quicker than guessing.
Which needle size do I need?
Match the needle to the fabric weight, not to the machine. Fine cottons and voile take a smaller size, denim and canvas a larger one, and jersey wants a ball point that pushes between the knit loops instead of cutting them. Every listing states the size and the intended fabric weight.
Do heat-erasable marking pens really disappear?
Under an iron, yes — and in cold conditions the mark can reappear, which is how the ink chemistry works rather than a defect. Always test on a scrap of the same cloth first, especially on dark or delicate fabric. We say so on the product page and repeat it here because it is the single most common surprise with these pens.
Are clips better than pins?
For thick, laminated or coated fabrics, yes — a clip holds the layers without leaving a hole that will not close. For fine woven cloth, pins still give finer control. Most workrooms end up with both, which is why we sell both rather than telling you one has replaced the other.
Can I return something I have opened?
Sealed packets, yes, within 10 days of delivery, with the invoice. Opened pin, needle and clip packets cannot be returned for hygiene and safety reasons — we will not resell a part packet to somebody else. Approved refunds are processed within 6 business days; full conditions are on the Refund and Returns Policy page.
Is there a warranty on tools?
We do not offer a six-month or manufacturer-backed warranty and will not pretend to. What you have is our returns cover for anything faulty, damaged, wrong or short on arrival. A blunted point after months of use, or a bent needle, is wear rather than a fault.
The count in my packet looks short. What now?
Film the unboxing before you open the blister and email us the clip within 48 hours of delivery. Counts are checked against the order on our bench, so a genuine shortfall is replaced at our cost without argument.
How do I track my order?
Tracking is emailed and texted at dispatch, and the Track Your Order page takes your order number directly. If a scan stalls for more than 48 hours, email hello@novellamansion.shop and we will chase the courier.
Do you have a shop I can visit?
No — we are online-only, with no physical store or counter. Every order is placed here and shipped from Jaipur, Rajasthan.
