Pins, needles, clips and bobbins are small, light and sharp — three facts that decide how we pack and how fast a parcel moves. Novella Mansion packs and dispatches every order itself from Jaipur. Here are the real numbers.
Cut-off and handling
Orders confirmed before 3:00 PM IST on a working day go onto the bench the same day. Handling is 1 business day, Monday to Saturday — we count pins and clips against the order rather than trusting a pre-made pack, because a 600-pin box that arrives with 540 in it is the complaint nobody should have to make.
How a sewing order is packed
Anything with a point travels in its own rigid case or blister, taped shut, so a needle cannot work through the wrapper in transit. Marking pens are bagged separately from fabric-touching items in case a nib leaks. Bobbins and clips go in a lidded box rather than loose, and the whole lot sits inside a padded outer so nothing rattles.
Delivery times
- Metro and large-city PIN codes: 2–4 business days after dispatch.
- Rest of India: 4–7 business days after dispatch.
- Transit overall: 2–7 business days, depending on distance.
- Order to doorstep: 3–8 business days including handling.
Parcels move through Delhivery / DTDC. Hill and island PIN codes can add a day or two on the final leg — that stage belongs to the courier network, and we will not quote a date we cannot hold.
What shipping costs
Free on orders of ₹2,499 and above. Below that a flat ₹69 on the whole order — not per item, and nothing added afterwards. The figure is on the cart page before you pay, which matters in a category where a ₹200 notion can carry a ₹150 delivery charge elsewhere.
Cash on Delivery and UPI
Pay by UPI in advance or take Cash on Delivery. COD works on most serviceable PIN codes; a few remote routes and very high-value orders are prepaid-only, and checkout shows what applies to your address before you confirm.
Tracking
Tracking goes out by email and SMS the moment the courier scans the parcel. A day without a scan usually means a hub transfer and is normal. If nothing moves for more than 48 hours, email hello@novellamansion.shop with the order number and we will chase the courier ourselves.
Count it when it lands
Pin, needle and clip counts are the one thing worth checking on arrival. Record a short video as you open the parcel; a short count or a crushed blister is settled on that clip within 48 hours of delivery, at our cost, under the Refund and Returns Policy.
What we do not ship
We sell sewing tools and notions only — no fabric by the metre, no sewing machines, and no cut-to-order trims. If you are looking for cloth, this is the wrong shop, and we would rather say so on the shipping page than after you have paid delivery on it.
Where we ship
India only. Novella Mansion is an online-only shop working out of Jaipur, Rajasthan, with no counter and no collection in person.
