Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of this website and every order placed with Novella Mansion, a sole proprietorship trading online from Shop No., 42, Tripolia Bazar, Pink City, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302003, India. Browsing the site or ordering from it means you accept them. They are read with our Shipping Policy, Refund and Returns Policy, Cancellation Policy, Payment Policy and Privacy Policy, and they are governed by Indian law — the Information Technology Act, 2000 (IT Act 2000), the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act 2023).

1. What we sell

We retail Sewing Tools online — pins, needles and clips, marking and measuring aids, and thread and bobbin accessories for home tailors and small studios. We do not sell fabric by the metre, sewing machines, or cut-to-order trims, and we do not repair machines. Orders are placed here and dispatched from Jaipur.

2. Using the site

Use it lawfully, give an accurate delivery address and phone number, and do not scrape or republish our listings and photography. If you open an account, activity under it is your responsibility.

3. Prices, currency and tax

Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and include any tax that applies. We trade below the GST registration threshold for individual sellers, so no GST is charged separately and no GST invoice is issued; a plain sale invoice travels in the parcel. Shipping is quoted before payment — free from ₹2,499, otherwise a flat ₹69. Prices, specifications and stock can change without notice.

4. Counts and pack sizes

Where an item is sold by count — 100 clips, 600 pins, a 12-piece gauge set — that count is what we pack and check. Manufacturers occasionally vary a pack by a piece or two; a material shortfall is a fault and we replace it, but we publish the count rather than a vague “value pack”.

5. Orders and our right to decline

An order is an offer to buy; the contract forms on dispatch. We may decline or cancel — refunding in full anything already paid — where stock has run out, a price or count was published in error, the address cannot be served, or the order shows fraud markers.

6. Payment

UPI and Cash on Delivery only. We do not accept credit cards, debit cards, net banking, PayPal or any other wallet, and we never ask for or store card numbers, CVV codes, UPI PINs or banking passwords. See the Payment Policy.

7. Delivery, cancellation and returns

Handling of 1 business day, delivery in 3–8 business days, free cancellation before dispatch and a 10 days return window are set out on the relevant pages, which form part of these terms. Opened pin, needle and clip packets cannot be returned.

8. Sharp goods and safe use

Pins, needles, scissors and rotary blades are sharp by design. Keep them away from children, dispose of bent or blunt needles in a sealed container, and follow any safety note supplied with the item. Injury from ordinary use of a sharp tool is not a product fault.

9. Marking products

Heat-erasable, water-soluble and chalk markers behave differently on different fabrics, and heat-erasable ink can reappear in cold conditions. Always test on a scrap of the same cloth first. We publish the maker’s description of how a marker lifts; judging whether it suits your fabric is your call.

10. Intellectual property

Text, descriptions, photography, layout, logo and the name Novella Mansion belong to us or our licensors, protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999. Do not copy or republish them commercially without written permission. Third-party marks remain the property of their owners.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and except as stated in these terms, the site and the products are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of this website or of any product — including damage to a garment or fabric marked, pinned or cut with a tool bought here — whether based on warranty, contract, tort or any other legal theory. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing removes your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

12. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay caused by courier-network failure, flood, transport strike or government restriction. Where such an event prevents delivery entirely, we refund in full.

13. Changes

These terms may be revised; the version published on the day of your order governs that order.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

Indian law applies, and disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan.
